There are many types of water pipes that are in use these days. The more common and traditional are copper and galvanized. To these we can safely add another dozen or so types of pipes each with their own sizes as well as fittings. This as you can imagine makes it a very difficult job for us as plumbers to stock spares for each type of pipe. Luckily most of the different piping systems have their spares available at their different distributors. We just got to drive there and fetch them.

• Water leaks can and will occur everywhere and anywhere. Wherever the pipes were laid, that is where it may leak. Some plumbers thought it wise to lay water pipes in concrete floors, under foundation walls, in concrete slabs on the 2nd floor, or in various other places that cannot be accessed easily.
