SABS0254/SANS10254 lay down the regulations of how geysers should be installed. IT IS ILLEGAL TO WORK ON A GEYSER IF YOU ARE NOT A QUALIFIED PLUMBER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLUMBING INSTITUTE REGISTRATION BOARD (PIRB) This is to safe guard the customer as in-correct installation of geysers can lead to serious safety issues and has resulted in death in some well documented cases.
KWIKOT also offer spares for the various repairs that might be undertaken on a geyser during its life span. At times the element, thermostat, TP valve, drain cock or vacuum breakers will need repairs or replacement.
Each geyser must also be fitted with a pressure control valve. As most geysers have a maximum working pressure it is vital that the pressure is controlled in order for the geyser to have a longer life span. IF NO PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE IS FITTED, YOUR GEYSER GAURANTEE IS NULL AND VOID.
